The Washington bureau’s design focuses on permanence, change, and transparency. The design pays respect to the iconic, American institution in journalism. The conference and reception areas visually connect with the use of wood walls with the logo displayed in both areas to illustrate the company’s move to digital distribution while keeping its roots intact. The wood design element is repeated in the work area to make the space feel unified and the open area and quick access to the kitchen give the space a collaborative environment.
